Honolulu, HI - October 4, 2000 Inovaware Corp.,
a leading provider of business infrastructure software
for providers of Internet services, announced the
opening of its new Asia-Pacific headquarters today.
"Our new Tokyo offices will give us the technical
and marketing base we need to respond to the explosive
Internet growth and huge demand for our products throughout
Asia," said David Keuning, VP Asia-Pacific and Strategic
Development at Inovaware.
The opening of the company's Asia-Pacific headquarters
coincides with news that NetTime, a Japanese wireless
service provider, selected Inovaware's PRISM as its
billing and customer management system.
NetTime's Little Anges service allows NTT DoCoMo
customers to connect a digital camera to their wireless
i-Mode phone and send photos over the Internet. Users
can send pictures to other i-Mode phones or to traditional
internet-connected PCs.
Before transmitting a photo, users have several
options available, including writing on the image
and supplementing their picture with downloaded graphics,
such as animated "frames" that surround the photo.
NetTime's rapid growth in customer base and service
portfolio demanded a flexible and scalable business
infrastructure, capable of handling current billing
and customer management needs, but powerful and extensible
enough to adapt to future business requirements.
"Inovaware was the only billing and customer care
provider that could accommodate the exponential growth
and massive scalability that we require - rapidly
and on budget " said Seiichi Nakahara, Executive VP
at NetTime. "Inovaware's ability to meet all our customization
needs made the company the logical choice for our
unique services."
"PRISM is an excellent fit for a leading-edge company
like NetTime," said Mr. Keuning. "Our system will
allow NetTime to cost-effectively automate many of
their subscriber management processes and will give
company representatives access to more customer information,
allowing NetTime to provide even better customer service."
