Collection - Valid Telephone Number Prefixes

The Valid Telephone Number Prefixes section of the Collection folder is used to configure the telephone number prefixes that are accepted as valid entries on the Billing tab of the Customer Service program. For example, if the Telephone Number Prefix Length were specified as "3" on the Telephone Bill tab of the Collection Setup, a valid number prefix must contain no more or no less than "3" digits. If you would like to check the prefix and the first three digits of the number, you must specify the prefix length as "6" to set more stringent validation checks. All valid telephone number prefixes for your service area must be specified to be accepted.

You may enter as many digits as specified as the Telephone Number Prefix Length on the Telephone Bill tab of the Collection Setup. If you specify a prefix of "3" you must enter only "3" digits per prefix. If you enter any more or less, it will be considered an invalid prefix.
