Server Parameters

The Server Parameters section lists the parameters associated with a particular server and their values. The applicable parameters are dependent on the server type. The values of the parameters that were marked as Required in the Server Type Parameters section should be configured here. The picture below shows what the server parameters configuration might look like for SERVER1, our UNIX server using the PERL plug-in.

Server Type Parameters

·      Server ID: Select the Server ID from the drop-down list. All of the remote servers that are configured in the Servers section will appear here.

·      Parameter: Select the required parameter from the drop-down list. All of the parameters associated with the plug-in type will appear in the list, but only the required ones should be selected. Required parameters are marked by the "<<<" symbol. Below shows how the PERL plug-in requires only four parameters, Key, LocalPort, RemoteIPAddress, and RemotePort.

·      Value: The value of the parameter is configured here. For all of the other parameters, it is enough to simply type in the value of the parameter into this field. However, for the Key parameter, an extra step is necessary. To set the value of the key, click on the 3dots.gif in the Value field. The Key Generation window will appear. Click the Generate button to generate a key. An encrypted key will appear in the Initial Server Key window.

Generate initial server key

Once the key has been generated, it must be stored somewhere for later use. To store the key, click the Output button and select a destination. Keep in mind where this key is stored and which server this key is for since it will have to be used again later. Be sure to store keys in different directories if configuring multiple PERL servers, since all the keys have the same name "ISPPower_Server.key".

Repeat the steps for each required parameter and for each configured remote server.
